The award-winning OMVI X16 PoE pairs a panoramic view with long-range 4K zoom and 360-degree endless pan – and no subscription required

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Reolink, a global smart home security brand, today released the award-winning OMVI X16 PoE, the flagship of its OMVI series. Designed for larger properties and high-security environments, the OMVI X16 PoE keeps the entire scene in view while bringing faraway details into sharp focus.

The OMVI X16 PoE pushes performance further with its total 24MP triple-lens system: a 16MP dual-lens panoramic bullet camera that blends two images into a single 180-degree ultra-wide view, paired with a 4K (8MP) pan-tilt-zoom dome camera with 16x optical zoom. The PTZ dome delivers 360-degree, high-speed, endless panning with 95-degree vertical tilt for expansive coverage and intuitive tracking.

“When it comes to security, seeing the full picture is just as important as being able to focus on the details,” said Annie Potter, Head of Marketing at Reolink North America. “The OMVI X16 PoE brings those capabilities together, giving homeowners and businesses greater visibility and confidence in what’s happening around their property. And with local storage and no mandatory subscription fees, users have more control over their security and their footage.”

Key Features of OMVI X16 PoE:

• Panoramic coverage: The 16MP dual-lens panoramic camera delivers a continuous 180-degree view.
• True 16x optical zoom: A 5.3–86mm, F1.6 varifocal lens zooms up to 16x while retaining 4K resolution, making it possible to identify faces and license plates at a distance.
• Endless pan and wide tilt: 360-degree high-speed endless pan and 95-degree tilt let users follow activity anywhere around the property without a mechanical stop.

Tracking and Control

• SyncTrack with Optical Zoom: When the panoramic camera detects a person, vehicle or animal, the pan-tilt lens automatically locks on and follows it, even after the subject leaves the panoramic view. During tracking, optical zoom is used to magnify the target in real time while keeping it centered in frame.
• Pinpoint & Continuous Sweep: Clicking or tapping anywhere on the dual-view screen instantly turns the pan-tilt lens to that spot for a closer look. One tap starts continuous 360° rotation until tapped again, for a quick survey of the surroundings.
• Presets and patrol route: Users can save up to 64 preset points and set up one patrol route of up to 16 points, with custom dwell times, pan-tilt speeds, and schedules. Auto-tracking can kick in whenever the camera pauses at a patrol point.

On-Device AI

• Person and object detection: On-device AI identifies people, vehicles, and animals, so alerts focus on the activity that matters.
• Local AI Video Search: Instead of scrolling through clips, users can type a plain-language description such as “black van” or “person wearing a hat” to find matching moments in recorded events, at no extra cost.
• Perimeter Protection: On the panoramic lens, Line Crossing, Zone Intrusion, and Zone Loitering alerts notify users when someone crosses a set boundary, enters a defined area, or lingers too long.

Built for Around-the-Clock Protection

• Day and night visibility: Built-in spotlights enable full-color night vision on a schedule, with infrared night vision.
• Two-way audio and flexible mounting: Users can speak through the camera from the app, and the IP66 weatherproof metal housing supports wall, ceiling, and corner mounting.

Starting today, it is available for purchase on Amazon and Reolink.com for $679.99 in the U.S.  For more information, visit Reolink.com.
