X-Bow Selected by CoAspire to Provide Booster Motors for U.S. Navy CHAOS Program

PR Newswire

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — X-Bow Systems Inc (X-Bow®), a U.S. manufacturer of solid rocket motors (SRMs), today announced it has been selected by prime contractor CoAspire to develop and produce the ground launched SRM booster motors for the U.S. Navy’s new Coalition Heterogeneous Affordable Offensive Strike (CHAOS) program.

The CHAOS program is designed to deliver an affordable, mass-producible cruise missile to U.S. allies, providing a versatile strike capability against land and maritime targets to build collective deterrence and reduce reliance on expensive legacy stockpiles.

This selection is the latest of seven new propulsion programs X-Bow has won in 2026, spanning the Navy, Army, and Missile Defense Agency. The award builds on the company’s recently completed first major production contract, which delivered more than 2,100 combat-ready rocket motors — a tangible demonstration of the “production is deterrence” capacity the nation needs.

“Rebuilding the nation’s arsenal demands a fundamentally different industrial base,” said Jason Hundley, Founder and CEO of X-Bow. “Our digital-first manufacturing and proprietary Additive Manufacturing of Solid Propellant™ technology are built to deliver advanced, reliable systems at a cost and velocity the legacy industry can’t match.”

“CoAspire is thrilled to support the U.S. Navy with this much-needed, affordable, mid-range maritime strike weapon,” said Doug Denneny, CEO, owner, and founder. “We, and our 56 first-tier suppliers across almost every state, are excited to support PMX-201, NAVAIR, and our coalition partners with an affordable cruise missile solution.”
